History of the DI magazine

The DI magazine (former «Dekorativnoye Iskusstvo SSSR») celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2007. In memory of its days of glory we launch a new section to recollect people, who used to work for the magazine, authors, who brought the edition up to the highest professional standard, designers and artists, who determined the selection of facts from artistic life... We hope that our readers, authors and heroes will share with us their memories about the magazine and people.

In December 2007, the DI magazine’s jubilee exhibition, from the «Contemporary Art of St-Petersburg» series, occurred in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (25 Petrovka street).

In October 2008, the first Kantor Readings, devoted to the memory of Karl Kantor, the philosopher and the magazine founder, took place in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art.
