The editorial board tries to offer impartial information about the most important art processes to the readers. The magazine’s special task is to introduce new names of artists from Russia’s regions to the readers. The goal of the DI magazine is to keep and develop contacts between artists in the whole post-Soviet space.

In different years the magazine was developed by M. Ladur, K. Kantor, S. Bazazyants, L. Kramorenko, O. Butkevich, I. Uvarova, L. Nevler, S. Esayan, L. Smirnov, A. Tarkhanov. Covers and layouts were designed by the following artists: S. Telingater, Yu. Sobolev, Yu. Kurbatov, M. Zhukov, M. Anikst, etc.
